Our Mandate

The global forest industry is rapidly changing and it is incumbent on all stakeholders to look for environmentally sustainable ways to best use our wood-based resources in the future.

We have come together to explore opportunities that may exist for the region's forestry sector. The core purpose of the task force is to facilitate the funding of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary study by PricewaterhouseCoopers on the potential for bio-energy, bio-chemicals and value added bio-products within the region.

This comprehensive, first of its kind evaluation will identify the necessary steps required to develop and promote new industry related products.
